Runway Inspired Challenge #14

If you are here for my Gallery Idol post please scroll down or click HERE! Thank you!

Happy Tuesday all! It's time for a new challenge over at Runway Inspired Challenge Blog!  This week's challenge is to create a card inspired by the following photo:

source: fashionologie.com

Isn't this just the yummiest looking high heel shoe?! Below is my card based on this inspiration:

HB2U

I was inspired by the colour combo, so I printed the HB2U letters in desired colours and covered them with Glossy Accents to add a bit of shine. To give it a little extra, I added green brads to the letter B. Fortunately, I had two in my stash that look almost like the button from the picture!

This week our sponsor is Ribbon Carousel! Make sure to pop over to the Runway Inspired Challenge blog to check what's up for grabs and to get the full details on how to enter the challenge! Also don’t forget to check out all of the DT’s fabulous inspiration:

Papercrafts Gallery Idol 2012 - round 4

Happy Monday everyone! I’m here today with my card for round 4 of Gallery Idol! I'm thrilled to be continuing on in the competition! Thank you for all of your votes that helped me get this far!

I couldn’t have done it without you

This week our challenge was to create a card which incorporates a household item. I took a quick look around my house for something I could use for my card and the idea came to me under the shower! lol! I decided to cut an old shampoo bottle. That’s the one I used:

bottle

I used a craft knife to remove the top and bottom of the bottle, and then I cut the remaining cylinder vertically into 2 strips. The next step was to draw two feather shapes and cut them out. To make them more feather-like I used small scissors to cut slits down each side. Here is a close up of the feathers:

Voting for this round is open and you may vote now through Thursday noon MDT time. If you do like my card, and would like to vote you can do so HERE (or by clicking on the photo at the top of my sidebar)!

Thank you SO much for all of your support! It means a lot to me!

Jane’s Doodles Release Blog Hop

If you are here for my Gallery Idol post please scroll down or click HERE! Thank you!

Happy Tuesday and welcome to the Jane’s Doodles blog hop! If you came here from Ange's blog, then you are on the right track.  If not, go back to Jane's blog and start from there!

Today we get to show some peeks of FOUR new stamp sets that Jane’s Doodles is releasing this month and let me tell you…they are all fab and they are all must haves! Totally cute!

With Father's day around the corner I thought I'd share two very quick and easy Father's day cards with you. For the first one I used chevron stamp (I so LOVE it!) from the set called “Patterns for him” and two stamps from the sentiment set called “Just Dad”:

best dad ever

For my second card, I used stamps from the very tool cool set called “It's a Guy Thing”:

you are tool!

Now how would you like to win all FOUR sets of new stamps? All you have to do is leave comments on all the blogs participating in the hop:

Papercrafts Gallery Idol 2012 - round 3

Hi everyone! I’m popping in today with my card for Round 3 of the Gallery Idol Competition! Thank you all so much for your votes and wonderful comments! I’m very excited and so very thankful to have made it this far!

Our challenge for this round is to use one product in making both a masculine and feminine card. For my cards I decided to use the same background stamp (the Designer Woodgrain by Hero Arts) but I also wanted to use the same colour combo and a similar design for both of them. Here’s what I came up with:

Monochromatic set

My masculine card is a nautical Father’s Day card. I made this life preserver ring using a white cardstock and some paper string. I also added a white thread to finish it up:

For my feminine Thank you card, I used a butterfly that I covered in gold glitter glue. The little leaf stamp comes from the Rose Background stamp by Hero Arts and the sentiment is from Mother's Flowers set by Jane’s Doodles:

Voting for this round of Gallery Idol is open now, so if you do like my cards, and would like to vote you can do so HERE (or by clicking on the photo at the top of my sidebar)! All your votes are really appreciated! Thanks a bunch!
